This past weekend was my Mom's 50th Birthday! My sisters and I decided to celebrate in grand style and throw my mom a surprise party up at her cabin. We thought for sure that my mom knew what was going on- but in the end she was actually surprised! Just the look on her face when she pulled up to the cabin was enough to make up for the 3 days of cooking in a house with no A/C! We had tons of food, friends and a great time. I hope it was a wonderful party for you Mom! You are SO WORTH IT!!! A special thanks to everyone who came to the party- especially those of you from out of town. You truly helped make it a great celebration.

A small snapshot of food! This is the chocolate fondue on the left and cheese fondue on the right.
We also made a bunch of Mom's favorite foods: meatballs, sweet and spicy jalapeno peppers, stuffed mushrooms, pork carnitas, raisin cookies, Mum Cupcakes and a sheet cake filled with huckleberry buttercream and huckleberry lemonade. It was a ton of food!
